Antigone.
Promotional design for a modern adaptation of Sophocles’ Antigone. The upper half of the poster features the prophet Tiresias, who warns Creon against disrespecting the gods. Despite his blindness, his uncovered eyes symbolize his foresight. The lower half depicts Antigone, daughter of Oedipus, sentenced to death for burying her brother. Her mouth represents her courageous protests against King Creon.
